APJ Kalam’s Take on Corruption

APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India has described corruption as a ‘cancer’ that is quickly spreading across various corners of the country. He also believes that corruption is responsible in hampering the growth as well as development of our country.

Kalam said that other than being an economic menace, corruption also disturbs the moral fabric of our society, during his lecture on ‘Socially and Economically Developing Bihar’, which was organized by the Bihar Chamber of Commerce.

Former President has urged the common man of the country to fight against the root cause of corruption & Greed. He believes that by reducing greed, corruption can be eradicated. He mentioned that people of country should think about what they can give to the country, rather than thinking of what they take. He added that it’s time when people should start thinking both individually as well as collectively about various ways that would make India a corruption-free system. He urged people to stand up for honesty.

He has advised the Indian citizen to support honest people and given them strength. Kalam has also asked his fellow citizen to protect people who are victimized to corruption. He has asked people to work collectively for setting up corruption-free environment in the country. A P Abdul Kalam is one of the Bharat Ratna recipients and has urged the common man to come forward and share their views on corruption.
