September 28, 2012 in Health, Municipal Corporation by akshata

Human life NOT WORTH Rs 200!! What according to you is important money or saving someone’s life? Yes, a four-day old baby was left to die after she was removed from the life saving device because her father failed to make a payment of Rs 200 immediately to the hospital. A very saddening incident in Jalandhar has cropped up where the hospital authorities, who are our lifesavers proved to be a manslayer for an infant from poor family. She had to die because of her poverty. What kind of justice is that?  Aren’t they humans? Don’t they have the right to live? Aren’t poor people in India given the right to access basic hygienic facilities in India? Being prematurely born, the baby was diagnosed with jaundice and hence had to be kept in life support system

But how many of you realise that this water could be highly contaminated with our harmful chemical and can be disastrous for the ones drinking it. If you have been drinking the water directly coming from your tap, then your health must be at risk. Think again, before being sure that you are actually drinking well-purified water. Successfully battled Polio!!! Our country, India, might not have been successful in tackling a number of social issues but kudos; we have effectively got rid of Polio cases. With not even a single case of the crippling disease been reported last year, we have anyhow managed to strike off our name from World Health Organization’s “List of Polio Endemic Nations”.   We might have the rising number malnourished children, rising number of people living below poverty line, rising female infanticide and countless more but we have managed to tackle with polio
